Kronen® Objekt-Reno 425

Substrate preparation

The substrate must be dry and stable. Sand down any adhering paint coatings. Heavily contaminated substrates, such as grease/oil contamination, must be cleaned or renovated.

Coating structure

Highly absorbent mineral substrates:

1 x deep primer

1-2 x Kronen® 425 Objekt-Reno

Wood:
 

1 coat Kronen® Isoliergrund 321

1-2 coats Kronen® 425 Objekt-Reno

Steel (with additional rust protection):

1 coat Jaeger Multigrund 715

1-2 coats Kronen® 425 Objekt-Reno

Styrofoam:

1-2 coats Kronen® 425 Objekt-Reno
 

Old coatings (dispersion and binding paints, well-adhering glue paints):

1-2 x Kronen® 425 Object-Reno

Drying (20°C/55% relative humidity)

Approx. 3-4 hours. In cases of extreme soiling, a drying time of 12 hours is recommended before recoating.

Recoatability
 

During application, at least 160 ml/m² Kronen® 425 Objekt-Reno should be applied to prevent bleeding into the subsequent coat. For very heavy or critical soiling, we recommend a drying time of at least 4 hours.

Application
 

During the entire processing and drying time, the material, substrate, and air temperature must not fall below 8°C or exceed 30°C. The air humidity should be between 30% RH and 75% RH during the entire time. Climatic conditions that deviate from normal climate or stagnant air can greatly influence the drying times.
