Kronen® Aqua Iso Door and window varnish 328

Application & processing

The 328 Kronen® Aqua Iso door and window paint can be used in a variety of ways and, with the right preparation, ensures perfect and long-lasting results - both inside and out.

Suitable substrates

The paint adheres particularly well to numerous materials:

• Wood: z. e.g. spruce panels, MDF, OSB, hardboard, solid wood, plywood, chipboard, veneered or laminated components
• Metals: Iron, steel, zinc, aluminium, copper, brass
• Plastic: Rigid PVC, Resopal, polyester, polyamide, ABS (preliminary tests are recommended)
• old coatings: Load-bearing coatings can be reworked after sanding
   

Adhesion problems may occur with exotic woods such as teak - we recommend preliminary tests in this case.

Preparation of the substrate

Eine gute Vorarbeit ist der Schlüssel für ein perfektes Ergebnis:

• Wood: Always clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Sand new wood in the direction of the grain, clean thoroughly, remove resins, break edges. Sand old, untreated wood down to the sound wood. Clean and sand wood that has already been coated, completely remove loose old coatings.
• Metals (zinc, aluminium, steel, copper, brass): Remove rust and corrosion products, clean surfaces thoroughly. Special cleaning (e.g. with diluted ammonia and wetting agent) has proven effective for zinc. Then prime with Jaeger Aqua-Multigrund.
• Plastic: Clean thoroughly with all-purpose cleaner, rinse, fine sand (grain 280-320) and wipe with white spirit.
• old coatings: Check for load-bearing capacity and sand. If unsure, carry out preliminary tests.

Tipp: An additional anti-blue stain impregnation is recommended for wood used outdoors or in damp rooms.

Coating structure

Depending on the material, we recommend the following layer structure:

• Steel inside & outside: 2 x Aqua-Multigrund (unverdünnt) + 2 x Aqua Iso door and window varnish
• Aluminium, zinc, copper, brass: 2 x Aqua-Multigrund (unverdünnt) + 2 x Aqua Iso door and window varnish
• Plastics: 2 x Aqua Iso door and window varnish
• Wood inside: 3 x Aqua Iso door and window varnish
• Wood outside & in damp rooms: 3 x Aqua Iso door and window varnish

Processing conditions

Please observe the following conditions so that the paint can dry optimally: 

• Temperature of substrate, material and environment: 8 °C to max. 30 °C.
• Humidity: 30-75 %
