The well renound coloring company Paul Jaeger GmbH & Co. KG has been long popular among the craftsmen as an expert in providing sophisticated solutions in its branch.

The old company's scriptures reveal that Mr Paul Jaeger (1870-1955) invented the first material for polishing wood already in 1898 at his father’s company in Esslingen (Jaeger und Söhne, A company for cyma recta and wooden ornaments' manufacturing). This material was sold later on under the name of „Kronentinktur“. He experimented with his „Kronengrund® Technik“ at his washstand – which was remarkable at the time because of its running water.  Thanks to those experiments the first Kronengrund® originated.

In 1908 the company’s founders succeeded in developing the first worldwide primer, free of oil,  for sealing, priming and insulating. After it originated in Stuttgart, Kronengrund® insulating color was sold all over the world.

The trend towards producing ecologically compatible products has strongly influenced the production policy of the company and will considerably affect and direct it in the future. Jaeger company values the clear and fast manifestation of their advantages among their customers, not so much the quality of their products.

Specific technological and color issues provide a constant challenge for lacquer experts, such as Jaeger company.  These account for Jaeger company’s success and positive development, especially because as a company for special colors’ production it commits to quality and creativity in its future work.
