JAEGER's water-dilutable Aqua sun protection coating provides both light and heat protection. With its milky, translucent appearance, it creates a pleasant, slightly diffused light, noticeably reduces room heating and absorbs 60% of harmful UV radiation. This is confirmed by a test certificate from the Research Institute for Pigments and Coatings (FIPV). It adheres easily to glass, Plexiglas, and many plastics. This makes it ideal for coating shed roofs, glass roofs, greenhouses, skylights, and polycarbonate multi-wall sheets, as well as Plexiglas® and polystyrene.
Substrate preparation
The substrate must be completely clean, dry, and free of dust and grease. Loose parts must be removed. Old coatings must be removed with suitable agents, such as paint strippers, if necessary. If the substrate is not properly cleaned, the coating may peel off prematurely.
Coating structure
2–3 coats of Aqua Sun Protection Varnish
Recoatability
Cannot be painted over with other coatings.
Processing conditions
During the entire processing and drying time, the material, substrate, and air temperature must not fall below 12°C or exceed 30°C. The air humidity should be between 30% RH and 75% RH during the entire time. Protect from rain in the first few days.
