Kronen® Aqua Iso stair and parquet lacquer is the ideal choice for the reliable sealing and protection of parquet and wooden floors that are exposed to normal to medium wear and tear. Whether living rooms, wooden stairs or balcony furniture in protected outdoor areas - this special varnish ensures a hard-wearing, easy-care surface that remains beautiful for a long time.
With its easy application and very good levelling, the lacquer is easy to apply and achieves an even, high-quality result. The surface impresses with its good abrasion resistance and high resistance to footprints and common household chemicals. Thanks to its filling power, the lacquer ensures a closed, homogeneous surface that remains permanently attractive thanks to its high lightfastness.
Application & processing
329 Kronen® Aqua Iso stair and parquet lacquer is ideal for protecting and sealing parquet and wooden floors subject to normal to medium wear. The product is also ideal for balcony furniture or wooden stairs in protected outdoor areas.
Suitable substrates
The paint adheres reliably:
- Parquet floors and solid wood
- Wooden floors: MDF, OSB, hardboard, plywood, chipboard, laminated wood and other wooden substrates
- Areas in the protected outdoor area: for example balcony furniture, wooden stairs
When using on special types of wood, especially exotic woods such as teak, we recommend carrying out preliminary tests.
Preparation of the substrate
Careful substrate preparation is crucial for an even and permanently beautiful result.
- Wooden floors and parquet: The surface must be clean, dry, stable and free of dust and grease. Thoroughly remove any dirt in advance and completely sand off any loose old coats. Sand and clean new or untreated wood in the direction of the grain, remove any escaping resin and break sharp edges.
- Existing old coatings: Check for load-bearing capacity and sand down. Remove non-load-bearing old coatings down to the sound wood.
Tipp: An additional impregnation to protect against blue stain is recommended for wood used outdoors.
Coating structure
Depending on the material and stress, the following layer structure is recommended:
- Indoor area (flooring, parquet, stairs): Apply 329 Kronen® Aqua Iso Stair and Parquet Varnish 2-3 times.
- Exterior / protected timber components: Apply 2-3 coats of 329 Kronen® Aqua Iso stair and parquet lacquer.
Light sanding is recommended between the individual coats for optimum results and an even surface.
Processing conditions
You will achieve the best results if the following conditions are met:
- Material, substrate and ambient temperature: mind. 8 °C to max. 30 °C
- Air humidity: 30% to 75%
